Paul's restaurant is an icon in Gouger Street, it was opened in 1946 and has been patronised by many famous people over the years.
Rrecently we have the West Indian Crickerters (Jimmy Adams) as shown below with the proprietor and manager Tony Katatis
Tony is a local "West End" boy who has worked all his life at Paul's, he prides himself on the freshness and continuity of his produce. This is possible because all produce is purchased daily.
Specialties include:
King George Whiting
Snapper
Garfish
Prawns
Calamari
Trout from the Adelaide Hills
Local rock lobster
many other quality fish available at the time, all fresh
What ever the choice.... and whether you want fish grilled, crumbed, or fried ,Tony's special light batter is designed to enhance the natural individual flavors
Add good chips and wedges of lemon and a generous garnish of crisp salad and you have Paul's as it has been for more than 53 years, and it is intended to be kept that way.
Paul's has become an Adelaide tradition, you can accompany your meal with the other fine taste of South Australia, its magnificent variety of wines and cold beers.
